Jan Delay meets Roger Cicero and Scooter takes on the Fantastischen Vier. What sounds like an unusual fight evening at "Celebrity Deathmatch" on MTV, is in fact part of the program of the first Tent Festival Ruhr. Numerous top-class artists of the German entertainment industry will come together at the edge of the Kemnader Lake, between Bochum and Witten, from August 22nd through September 7th to sweeten the mild late summer nights for the visitors. 1.5 Million people yearly are drawn from the surounding Ruhr metropolises to the recreational area. What could be more obvious than receive them with culture and gastronomy the organizers figured, and put together a program for the premiere, that appeals to the whole family. Amongst others, Volker Rosin with his children’s show is coming to the tent city at the Kemnader Lake and in the comedy department Hennes Bender and Ingo Appelt stand out. The individual events cost between 10-60 Euro and August 23rd is open house. This way, even visitors without a ticket can look at the core of the festival: An impressive Pagoden tent, which holds 4000 viewers in between its six poles.
