Since its beginning in 1992, the Sweden Rock Festival has developed into the biggest hard rock and metal festival in Skandinavia. Many of history's biggest hard rock bands have played here but also many local newcomers perform regularly.

But the festival has its reputation also because of the perfect organization and the wonderful location at the Baltic Sea. The British journalist Geoff Barton even wrote: "Sweden Rock Festival might just be the best outdoor festival in the world."
