In Rock circles the birth of the super group Them Crooked Vultures was one of the musical highlights of 2009. None other than Foo Fighter Dave Grohl, Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones had seemingly spontaneously formed the super group in the early summer, but surprised their fans with sparse (festival) performances at first, until finally in November, the long-awaited self-titled debut album with 13 songs was released. Only a few weeks later the "Vultures" kicked off their first European tour.
On December 8th, Them Crooked Vultures stopped over at the Palladium in Cologne and rocked a terrific show infront a sold out house. The concert was recorded in full length within the WDR Rockpalast and broadcast on December 15th. If you weren't able to be there live or you missed the TV broadcast, you're in luck: you can find the entire show in the best quality on the Rockpalast homepage. If you can't seem to get enough of it, you can take your time: the Rockpalast makers will keep the stream available there until May.
