Roskilde premiere for Alice in Chains
Grunge legends in Roskilde: within the scope of their extensive festival tour this summer, Alice in Chains will also stop in Roskilde and will celebrate their premiere there at the same time. For the first time in the band's 20-year history, the Seattle rockers will perform here. With this, the circulating rumors surrounding a possible performance of the group at the Danish mega festival are now certain. Aside from many of their earlier hits, the grungers around singer William DuVall, who's a befitting successor for the late charismatic frontman Layne Staley, will be performing the in 2009 released opus "Black Gives Way to Blue".
If you're not into the group, but dig HipHop instead, you'll also find plenty of satisfaction in Roskilde: recent confirmations from this area are Brother Ali, Kasper Spez and Tech N9ne.
The Roskilde Festival will be celebrated from July 1st through the 4th and the warm-up starts on June 27th. You can get ticket via the homepage or the known ticket agencies. They run 233,25 Euro including fees, camping and parking.
