Organizers are reviewing the security concepts

After the Loveparade tragedy this past Saturday, organizers of festivals still to come are reviewing their security concepts once again and inspecting them for possible loopholes. This was the reaction the organizers of the sold out Electro event SonneMondSterne displayed in response to the many inquiries of concerned fans. 25,000 fans are expected to the festival which will be held on August 6th in Saalburg. "The security system has been tried for many years and provides emergency concepts for any and all security-related eventualities, including an evacuation of the grounds due to the weather.". The organizers also emphasized the well-coordinated and efficient collaboration of the event crew, the security staff and the local authorities. The existing security concept was again extensively discussed by the District Office, as well as the Thuringian police on Tuesday of this week and approved by both sides, the report states.

Security is also the top-most priority in the 1800-head village of Wacken, where 75,000 fans and more than 100 bands will be celebrating the 21st edition of the world's biggest Metal festival from August 5th through the 7th. The entry is controlled by a light signal system, police, security and paramedics are in close contact with eachother and the premises are video monitored.
