Is taking a break this year: the San Francisco city rave LovEvolution ©LovEvolution

San Francisco LovEvolution

The SF LovEvolution is canceled

The organizers have canceled the San Francisco LovEvolution shortly before the kick-off. Unsettled security questions in particular led to the decision. The big Techno parade, that was supposed to go across the city by the bay to the Civic Center on October 2nd, was planned as the highlight of the LoveWeek which is celebrated from September 29th through October 3rd."Some agencies still opposed the event. In addition, we were still in the thick of discussing how we could prevent congestion at the Civic Center, when the disaster at the Loveparade in Dusiburg occurred", the organizers stated in their press release. Sensibilized by the events in Duisburg, one immediately began looking for a bigger location. It was however impossible to find a suitable venue in time. "It was a difficult decision for all involved: after five months of discussions, we have now decided that it's best if we sort ourselves out and then present an even better event next year."

The cancelation of the street parade does not affect the LoveWeek: the scheduled events and parties will be taking pace as planned.
