Advance ticket sales for Glasto 2011 kick-off

On October 3rd at exactly 9 am the advance ticket sales for the Glastonbury Festival 2011 will begin. The same procedure as every year: if you want to grab a ticket for the five-day spectacle, you should, if possible, strike on the first day of the advance sales. Even without a single band confirmation, the tickets for England's most renowned festival go like hot cakes and are always really quickly sold out. The tickets for the happening, which will be celebrated on the Worthy Farm in Pilton from June 22nd through the 26th. cost 195 GBP plus fees. They're only sold to those, who registered on the specifically set-up site www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk and have made the down payment of 50 GBP upfront.

In contrast to previous festivals, the organizer Michael Eavis already appears rather talkative regarding the program 2011. Even though there are no official line-up confirmations so far in advance as usual, Opposite the online magazine eFestivals, Eavis revealed that "three of the world's greatest bands" will be headlining the upcoming Glastonbury Festival. The rumor mill has been churning and producing names such as Coldplay, Madonna, Kylie and Jarvis Cocker. U2 could also be one of the headliners in 2011: after all, the Irish superstars had to postpone their performance this year on short notice to a later Glastonbury, due to the back injury of their frontman Bono (we reported).
